Pricing and fees
Fees shown before you commit
Divers set their own prices. The customer pays that price plus a service fee. The diver keeps their price minus a marketplace fee. You see the total before you accept.
How much does Scuber cost?
The customer pays the diver's price plus a Scuber service fee of 10%, with a minimum of $9.99. The diver receives their price minus a marketplace fee of 10%. Tips, when a customer offers one, are a separate payment that goes 100% to the diver; Scuber keeps no fee on tips.
Because of the $9.99 minimum, a $50.00 job costs the customer $59.99 in total, and the diver receives $45.00.
Example: a $50.00 job
Diver receives $45.00Scuber's fees $14.99
- Jobs are priced between $50 and $5,000.
- Offers show the diver's price, the service fee and the total before the customer accepts. The diver sees what they will receive before sending an offer.
- Card processing costs are covered out of Scuber's share. They are not added to your bill and do not reduce the diver's payout or tips.
- Scuber's fees are kept when the payment is released to the diver. If the customer is refunded, no fee is taken.

When money moves
- The customer accepts an offer and pays by card. The money is held until the job is done.
- The diver marks the item recovered.
- The customer confirms, or 48 hours pass with no action and no dispute. The payment is released: the diver receives their price less the marketplace fee by bank transfer, and Scuber keeps its fees.
- If the item is not found, or the customer cancels before the dive, the customer is refunded in full.
Cash is never allowed. Paying or asking to be paid outside the app, to avoid the fee or for any other reason, is against the Terms and can lead to removal.
The lost and found board is free to use
No money is needed to list a lost item, report a found one, or chat. Nothing moves through the board.
Fee amounts can change in the future. The app always shows the fees that apply before you accept an offer.
